Los días 2 y 3 de noviembre de 2023 se reúne en Madrid el Grupo de Trabajo sobre Administración de Tierras de la Comisión Económica para Europa de las Naciones Unidas (UNECE WPLA) bajo el tema "Garantizar la seguridad de la propiedad de tierras durante la reconstrucción tras desastres naturales o provocados por el hombre".
El propósito del taller consiste en compartir experiencias y mejores prácticas de países dentro de la región de UNECE y más allá, relacionadas con la reconstrucción posterior a desastres naturales o causados por la actividad humana. El enfoque principal del taller recae en garantizar la seguridad de la propiedad de la tierra y la vivienda, centrándose especialmente en los aspectos legales, geoespaciales y económicos.
Durante el taller, se explorará la forma en que la información geoespacial puede integrarse de manera más efectiva con la información legal con la propiedad de terrenos y viviendas, así como cómo diversos países promueven el uso de soluciones digitales para respaldar un desarrollo urbano sostenible y resiliente, además de la legalización y mejora de asentamientos informales.
Se espera la participación de representantes de los Estados miembros de la UNECE, la Comisión Europea, la Organización del Tratado del Atlántico Norte y el Banco Mundial en este taller.

On 2-3 November 2023, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Working Party on Land Administration (UNECE WPLA) will meet in Madrid under the theme "Tenure Security: Ensuring tenure security during the reconstruction after natural and man-made disasters".
The purpose of the workshop is to share experiences and best practices from countries within the UNECE region and beyond, related to reconstruction following natural or man-made disasters. The focus of the workshop is on ensuring secure land and housing ownership, with a special focus on legal, geospatial and economic aspects.
During the workshop, it will explore how geospatial information can be more effectively integrated with legal information on land and housing ownership, as well as how various countries are promoting the use of digital solutions to support sustainable and resilient urban development and the legalisation and upgrading of informal settlements.
Representatives from UNECE Member States, the European Commission, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and the World Bank are expected to participate in this workshop.
